Designing an AI tool for Real Estate Photographers

This project began during a period of transition.
The company’s original product was an AI virtual staging platform with purchasable furniture, built around an e-commerce model. It gave us early traction in the real estate visual space and a foundation to expand from.
As the company evolved, we identified a broader problem: real estate photographers needed a faster, simpler way to handle repetitive post-production tasks like enhancement, editing, and listing preparation. Building on that opportunity, I helped shape the transformation into Enverse AI, a new AI tool ecosystem designed to help non-technical professionals achieve high-quality visual results with less effort.
As the solo designer in the early stage of a tech-heavy team, I worked to bring a stronger user-centered perspective into product strategy. My role was to ground decisions in real user pain points, help define the new product direction, and design the experience from 0 to 1—turning complex editing tasks into simple, time-saving workflows.

︎The Discovery
Where do existing tools create unnecessary complexity?
- Legacy tools were too complex and time-consuming for non-technical users
- Prompt-based AI tools remained inefficient for repetitive editing
- Users also struggled to carry the same image across multiple tasks
- Batch processing was not well supported
︎Workflow Mapping
By mapping the current journey, we identified exactly where the friction points were. Tool switching and repetitive manual tasks during the "Editing" phase were causing the largest bottlenecks.
︎Concept testing & Target Vision
We tested early prototypes with our core target audience: SMBs and independent professionals seeking affordable, instant design solutions. The feedback was clear: they wanted a playground of lightweight, purpose-built multimodal apps where each tool solves one stubborn, practical need without the bloat of traditional software.
︎Features as Design Response
I led the UX translation of these principles into a concrete web application. By reframing features as direct design responses to the research insights, we created a tool that felt purpose-built for real estate workflows.
Unified and Transparent
To build trust, the application anchors around a single, expansive canvas. The UI prioritizes transparency by offering clear, interactive previews. This ensures users know what will be created beforehand, setting clear expectations for the editing workflow and upfront credit usage
One-click Enhancement
Because users wanted faster listing-ready results, I designed a one-click enhancement flow that automatically adjusts lighting, contrast, and clarity with zero user effort. The system analyzes the room layout and window exposures instantly, drastically reducing time-to-delivery.
Seamless Tool Hand-off
To support the vision of interconnected, lightweight apps, I designed a persistent photo dock. Users can perform a sky replacement in one app, then instantly hand that exact photo over to the virtual staging app without re-uploading or losing their edit history.
