Social innovation platforms focus on the true voice from the public

It offers a new way of interaction with others which helps people get the information they want, makes social life more meaningful.

Desk Research

With the ideas of exploring fileds that critiques could take place, I devide three sections to talk about how and why critiques might exist, business, art and culture, society.

Case Study

As I found the society part in the desk research is the topic that’s relevant to everybody and there are so many platforms for people to talk about it. I chosed three major platforms for a deeper research, they are Quora, Reddit and Twitter. Besides these platform for communication and share information, there are also platforms only for people to review and giving feedbacks as customers, such as Google Map, Tripadvisor, and Yelp.

• Community feature. It helps gather people with same interests. In communities, people feel safe to critique.
  
  
• Categorized information. This helps user find what they want as quick as they can.
   
  
• In these social and review platforms, it’s not easy for people to find Key Opinion Leader(KOL) for the specific questions It’s everywhere but not catehorized.

Design Definition

From the previous research, case study, persona, and user journey, I decide to make a platform for people to critique things, everyone can say things they want from their unique perspective. According to the different needs from different people, the platforms include online website and also in-person events.

Impact

The combination of online social platforms and real-life interactions and workshops makes social life rich. To talk about the same interests with others or gather people in a similar situation help them find groups that they feel belongings. At the same time, a healthy social system could improve society in general. More and more people could have their voice heard, and that may change a lot people’s thinking and understanding of others and society.
